New design? yes! :D

Alright. So, toward the middle of this month, I was going to be participating in a Traveling Scarf Swap in a group I am moderating on Ravelry. Unfortunately, school has taken a priority in most areas of my life, including money. So, I had to drop out. But, not before I had already started my section of scarf.
Now, I had started thinking about this scarf for a while and I had been looking at patterns forever! I didn't know what to do. I also had finally picked out this yarn in my stash that I thought I didn't really like and wanted to get rid of. Well, low and behold, I started knitting with this cheap wool that I'd had for ages and put in new stitches as I went along and VOILA! I had created a new stitch in a wonderful looking yarn. I was instantly in love.

Currently, I am making 2 scarves that I will hopefully sell in my Etsy shop once I get it going. I've got the wool version and one that I've started in Caron Simply Soft. I think I'll make a few in different colorways to sell. I really am in love with this pattern. I don't know if I want to put in on Ravelry as a stitch pattern or a scarf pattern.....idk.

US sixe 8 straight needles
Bulky weight yarn (YarnBee Melody in Mermaid or Caron Simply Soft in Black and Wine Country)
Tapestry needle

Gauge: 17st = 4in

Stitch Pattern:

Row 1: (RS) Knit across.
Row 2: (WS) k1, p1 rib
Row 3: Knit across
Row 4: k1, *pull yarn front, insert right needle as if to purl, wrap yarn twice and pull stitch through, pull yarn back, insert right needle as if to knit, wrap yarn twice and pull stitch through;* repeat from * until last stitch, p1
Row 5: Knit into the first loop of each stitch, dropping second loop from the needle.

For scarf:

Cast on 28 sts (or any even number). Begin Row 1 of stitch pattern. Repeat Rows 2-5 until scarf is 5 ft, or desired length. BO all sts. Weave in all ends.

Optional: Make and attach a tassle to each corner

WOAH! Heeeeey....I remember you!

Okay, so i decided it would be a spifftastic idea to start blogging again....okay not really. I'm probably only going to use this as a place to publish my knitting patterns. Which will be growing in size soon. In other news, okay, there is no other news. I will however, start back to posting on here. :D

lots of yarn and love,

Danni
