I'm David Fucking Tennant

Long time no see!!!!

Just fyi, I think I have fallen in love....with David Tennant. Okay, not really. But with a boy who looks like David Tennant. And who watches Doctor Who.

That is all.

Freddie and Dancer Boy are all I need...

Oh what a wonderful day this is becoming!

I am spending the day in my bed, watching doctor who, knitting, and reading the NY Times. Yes, I am aware that I told my mom that I would not stay in my dorm room all the time. But it was just one of those days, you know.

So, today is perfect to think about this week's assignment: 5 things I would not leave the house without if I were going into hiding.

You could say I have gone into hiding in a way. But here is my list:
  1. Freddie. Freddie is a green frog plushie that my childhood best friend gave me for my birthday when I was 12. I cannot sleep without him somewhere near my pillow. He is a must have if going into hiding.
  2. My Book Collection. But not all of it, only because I would not be able to carry it. It would take a dozen people to carry that. I mean, only my books that are in a series. This would include: Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, the Mortal Instruments, and all of my John Green books. I'm thinking I will have a lot of free time if I am in hiding.
  3. My Notebooks. I write a lot as it is. I'm going to take all of my notebooks because, like the book collection, I expect to have a lot of time on my hands. Hilariously, all of what I have already listed can fit in my backpack (I know because that's how I transported them to college).
  4. Dancer Boy. There are several reasons for this. 1. He hot 2. He's entertaining 3. He's fun to talk to 4. He knits 5. If at all necessary, we may have to repopulate the world....which I have no objections to.
  5. My Comforter. Nuff Said. lol

I think everything on my list is warranted. Unless, food, knitting, and water are not guaranteed. Then we have a problem...

Week 1: HSKS

So, the nargles went and tapered with the air conditioning in the library and now I'm freezing as I try to type out a spanish paper. DAMN YOU!!!!

In other news, I'm excited to be back with my SlytherBuddies. Suenosdejmi can help me with my spanish homework and ajkane can guide me in the wonderful ways of a proper college student.

Onward to this week's assignment!

1. Someone with the same craft as you (either those listed above or another one). I knit and crochet. And I make those friendship bracelet things. But that's about it. Bartlebean
2. Someone who was born in the same month as you. I HAD ISSUES WITH THIS ONE LAST TIME! WHO'S BDAY IS IN FEBRUARY????
3. Someone from a different country. If you live outside the US, lemme know! misslucy
4. A new HSKS Family member. There has to be more n00bs. I was the ONLY one last term!!!! Daisymum
5. Someone who has been in 3 or more HSKS swaps. This is my 2nd...woot woot! GirlyWithATwist
6. Someone who has a bigger stash than you! (And if your stash is the biggest, proudly say so!) 43 stashed/2 gifted LAFisher
7. Someone who both knits and crochets. ME!!!!! smileynetta
8. Someone who has the same favorite color as you. If you haven't noticed, my favorite color is green....how befitting.... JellyBeanInc
9. Someone who has the same favorite season/holiday as you. Favorite season: Autumn. SirDancealot
10. Someone who has the same favorite fiber as you. Favorite Fiber: Merino Wool

HSKS HPKCHC

Oh how wonderful it is to be back with my wizarding family since my departure for my muggle studies. Hopefully, my studies in Telecommunication (the boxes that moving pictures and voices often occupy and entertain Muggles [TV and Radio]) and Mass Communication (Telephones, Books, Newspapers...and a new thing called the Internet) will be very helpful in thinking of ways to enchant said objects for my evil educational experiments. Mass Brainwashing, perhaps.......

SLITHER ON, SLYTHERIN!!!

Oh the Plights of a College Student

1. I hate community laundry. Please, for the love of God, take your shit out of the dryer so other people can use it! Your comforter is UGLY anyway!!!!!
2. My bike is broken.....broke it putting the tire on....
3. The cafe isn't open on Sunday, so I actually have to use my own money to eat. Meal Plan my ass.
4. I'M ABOUT TO RIP SOMEONE A NEW ONE IF THEY DON'T COME GET THEIR DAMN COMFORTER!!!!!!!!!!!

so how are you guys? :D

Hello, University of Alabama

I am finally moved into my dorm at UA! I have no roommate, so I guess I'm happy about that. AND the girl down the hall wants me to teach her to knit!!! And there's a guy outside my building making gorilla noises......I am so far from everyone I know on campus. Except taylor, who figured out where I was after this Facebook conversation:

Taylor: hey girl!

Jordan: you moved in yet?

Taylor: yeah, just finished. where are you staying?

Jordan: burke west.

Taylor: no way! what room?

Jordan: 443

taylor has signed off

Then she showed up at my door. She's 2 doors down. and I had no idea! I went to a couple of parties yesterday and realized that I don't like parties. I'm such a homebody. I'm excited for classes to start on wednesday. But, I'm worried I won't be able to find where my dance class is. :O

Here's my room:

Now, the only thing missing is the post from Clara! :D

04 August 2010

Progress is slow....and takes FOREVER

Mmkay. So, I've finally finished all of the hand-made items for HSKS. I know it's only 2 things. But for some reason, in my mind, I think it takes FOREVER to do anything. That's why I hate doing laundry.....or straightening my hair.....or editing papers.....or......oh you get the picture.

I would love to show pictures of what I've finished, but I can't do that until HSKS summer camp is over.

But, for right now, I'm tired and am going to sleep.....if I could only knit in my sleep........colorwork would be hell....

01 August 2010

Happy Sunday everyone!

Well, today is the beginning of a lot of things. 1. Exploding Snap and Ancient Ruins 2. August 3. the countdown to move-in

I hope everyone is doing well. I know the kit descriptions in HSKS said 1 small handmade item, but I got carried away. I love making things (and learning new things) too much.

Anywho, I'm going to get back to knitting and watch Torchwood.

Vacation in a Box

Over the past month, I have been participating in Knit n Tune's Vacation in a Box Swap. I thought it was a good idea; the women in the group also thought so (check us out on Ravelry). I just received my ViB in the post today. :D Here is what Lisa sent to me:

Okay, you must understand that when I get mixed CDs (which is the only mandatory component of our swaps), I tend to go a little berserk because I LOVE MUSIC! And when people have the same tastes in music as me, or introduce me to new kinds of music, my happy dances get a little out of hand. Good thing my mother wasn't here when I got this. She would have looked at me like she did last swap and then proceeded to ask "What is wrong with you, child?"
Yes, my mother still calls me a child. Which fits because when I found the box of crayons in my ViB, a very large smile spread across my face. The Hawiian Punch and the journal just make that smile bigger. You will also notice a tote bag (I can never have enough totes!), nail polish (what girl doesn't love nail polish!?!), a washcloth with an octopus on it :D, size 1 dpns, Sugar n Cream yarn (I can never get enough), and LOTS of starburst. I am very content with this. Very Very Very content. Oh hell, I LOVE THIS! I LOVE SWAPS! yes, I am addicted.

HSKS and Gilmore Girls

Hola!

I have been sooooooooooo busy these past few days. Actually, that's a bold faced lie. I have been koala-ing(sleeping and doing lazy things) away doing nothing and knitting/crocheting of course. HSKS is coming along nicely. I'd tell you all about it, but there is no telling who all is reading this. So......idk how to let you know.

Going to watch Gilmore Girls now.

Can I use the Avada Kedavra curse on a giant granny square blanket?

For the first time ever, I have been working so long on a project that I am thoroughly repulsed by it. I mean, I never want to see Auburn Blue and Orange ever again. Going to the rival school, I didn't care about the colors, wasn't repulsed or overjoyed whenever I saw them. I was very indifferent. Now, after spending a month working on this stupid blanket, I HATE Auburn colors with every fiber of my being!

Oh, hi. Did I just start a rant without warning you? I am so sorry. It won't happen again. I promise.

How has your week been? Mine has been quite boring, honestly. However, I'm going to go watch all the Harry Potter films while I work on some WIPs and hope that Luna sends me an owl soonwith my new pair of Spectra Spects. She sat on them the last time she visited.

Does anyone have any idea as to what I can store all of my needles in? As of now, they are in a bucket. Said bucket tends to fall over a lot.

HP 1, HERE I COME!

23 July 2010

Hi, I'm.....Bye. Nice to not meet you!

I think I have a new roommate. Or none at all. Which would mean lil bro has a place to stay when he comes to visit.

WINGO!

Yawn........goodmorning.....wait....nevermind.....

Got back from Freshman Orientation today. So tired. mmkay, here's my WINGO information....I used to know a girl named Kaitlyn Wingo...just saying.

I worked as a counselor at a YMCA Summer Camp for 3 years. I worked with the Splash Camp kids, which was a swimming camp. We taught lessons and took them to different water parks across the state.

I have been on a train, but i didn't really go anywhere. Travelled through Chattanooga but beginning and end of the trip was the same train station. And of course, I've been on the Hogwarts Express.

My favorite yarn brand is Caron Simply Soft....or Misti Alpaca.

I speak Spanish and a tiny bit of Chines and Japanese.

I have seen every Harry Potter film in theatres at midnight every time :)

Yes, I am a HSKS n00b.....

I only have 1 brother...sorry

I have 31 items in my queue...but i need to add some others

My patronus is a grey wolf. :)

I have a collection of buttons, a collection of bottles, a collection of beanie babies, a collection of books, of course, and a collection of metal tins.

I specifically live in Irondale, Alabama. I don't think anyone knows where that is.

Brownies, chocolate, and Twizzlers are the BEST THINGS EVER!

I own all of the Harry Potter movies.

I play the guitar, piano, and recorder. :) Don't judge! lol

I was born in February and I brought my dog Nikki to camp with me.

*Anything I didn't list, I do not do or cannot answer

Orientation Day!

Today is the day that I get pushed over the cliff of adulthood! Damn....too soon. So, I'm up early to shower and all that good stuff before I go to my university's Freshman Orientation. I don't know if I'm excited about it. However, I have my knitting/crocheting, so if no one wants to be my friend, SO BE IT! But, I doubt no one will not want to be my friend. Okay. Gonna cut this short. My mom's turning on the impossibly cold air and I either need to be under hot water or under a very inpermeable comforter. I will report back on Wednesday of all the excitment of Orientation!

"Will you swing with me? OOO! The Ice Cream Man!" Fun at the Park with My Lil Bro

I'm bored........

So, today, I went to the LYS to get more yarn for the shawl I'm making for a swap I'm in. Guess who didn't have the colorway anymore! Sad day. So, I got a smoothie and went to a park to chill with my lil bro. Speaking of which, let me introduce you to Aiden Lovegood!

Isn't he adorable! Okay, not really. He is adorable, however, when he rubs his eyes when he's sleepy....or just did something stupid and got something in them. He may not look like my little bro, but he is. He's my brotha from anotha motha! I'm too white to say that. XD It started to rain while we were at the park. It was a nice alternative to the constant heat we've been getting.

In addition to the other swap I am participating in, so far on the HSKS swap, I have started 2 things for my Spoilee's kit. First, although these don't really qualify to go in the Critter Kit, I've started 2 friendship bracelets, one Gryffindor and one Slytherin. School Unity, right? Second, I've started one of the critters for her kit. Now, if you have seen any Studio Ghibli films, you know that there are 2 creatures that can be found in the forest. 1 is Totoro, the forest troll and the second is the kodama, the tree spirits. I'm really looking forward to finishing each of these and a few other critter-like objects. :D

Summer Camp Assignment #1

  • Knit vs. crochet Well, I'm just now getting into crochet, but I've been knitting forever. I must admit, however, that crocheting is much easier than knitting. Now, doing either craft by magic is the easiest, it kind of takes the joy out of watching something unfold in my hands.
  • Brands you would like to try but don't have easy access to I'm sorta new to this whole yarn business. There are MILLIONS of brands that I didn't know existed. Around this time last year, someone sent me this marvelous yarn from Germany and, well, I can't get anymore because they sold out of that colorway. HOWEVER, I would love some more of that, though I can't remember what it's called. I did a pair of the Insidious socks with it. Any yarn from A Time to Dye or Yarntini or Yummee Yarn or Yberry. I'm just inlove with those brands.
  • Favorite fibers/least favorite fibers I haven't really had experience with a lot of fibers. Right now, the shawl I'm making for another swap is a cotton/silk blend. Its soft and I really like it. I might not want to give the shawl away. Usually, the yarns I use are acrylic, like Red Heart and Caron Simply Soft. I've worked with a few wool yarns, but those I've gotten in swaps. I can't really say I have a least favorite. Though, Red Heart is itchy and unpleasant most of the time.
  • Favorite colors/least favorite colors I am in love with the colors green, purple, and black (yes, I know black is culmination of all colors :P). However, I cannot stand yellow. Or pink. And for some colors, it all depends on what they are. I hate wearing brown. And the color combination of orange and blue is repulsive. And so is yellow and purple. I am not a football fan, so don't read too much into that. lol
  • Yarn weight preferences I absolutely adore working with worsted weight and fingering weight yarns. However, I don't really put much thought into weights. I just go with whatever feels good in my hands and is easy to work with. I have this feeling that I wouldn't like lace weight yarns, but I've never tried them.
  • Favorite projects I LOVE socks. And blankets. And plushies. And fingerless gloves.
  • Favorite gadgets As far as gadgets go, I'm not entirely sure I have favorites. All I know is that I want a sonic screwdriver. Preferably with David Tennant attached, but not completely necessary. OH! So, to travel the Muggle world, I must use this old car thing and unfortunately, no one can seem to get the radio to work, magically or otherwise. So, I love mixed CDs.
  • Favorite designers Designers...as in...clothes? Or pattern designers? I really have no preference. As long as it is pretty, I don't really care. :)
  • Salty vs. Sweet CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry, was that a bit loud?
  • Tea vs. Coffee It depends. There's this restaurant called Surin, and they serve this Thai tea that is to DIE FOR! Otherwise, give me some coffee. You'll notice the time stamp on this post is quite early in the morning. Well, I woke up and instead of going back to sleep, I made some coffee. :)
  • Allergies Unfortunately, I'm allergic to cats. Fortunately, I'm allergic to peanuts. They taste something horrendous and smell just as horrid.
  • Other things you like, i.e., buttons, pens, fabric, stitchmarkers, etc. Buttons buttons buttons buttons buttons buttons buttons buttons buttons Spiral Bound Writing Journals buttons buttons Sharpies buttons Postcards
  • Currently Craving SMOOTHIES! Seriously, I really want a smoothie. Whenever I say that to someone, they simply respond "You always want a smoothie." It's true. I always want a smoothie.
  • Where you might have wish lists Target.com. I have a college list, but my only wishlist is in the sidebar of this blog. :)
  • Measurements Um.......well....shoe: 10"; body: 34", 29", 40"; so, that'd be a small shirt, i think.
  • Whatever else you'd like to share! I would love to have anything Irish themed. I've come to find out that I'm like 25% Irish. But then again, I'm also part German and Native American. So. yeah....OOOOOOO! Dreamcatchers are always nice. They're so pretty.

15 July 2010

Sleep......too much....not good...

Good afternoon.

The nargles stole my alarm clock again....well, they stole it on monday. I've been sleeping late all week and it's bugging me.

So, you know that shawl I've been working on? I figured it out! I might have been wearing my Spectra Specks when I started.......so, I took them off and frogged what I had and started over. AND I FIGURED IT OUT! I'm excited. However, I don't know how big it should be before I block it, which is frustrating. Also, I've never blocked before......

Cyd's blanket is coming along nicely. I haven't been changing colors in the dark, thank goodness. But it's getting bigger and more difficult to transport from knitting space to knitting space...

Also, Luna was supposed to bring me the Quibbler a while back. I stopped relying on my owl, Horatio. He's a little directionally challenged. I think he's more related to my lil brother than I am. Speaking of which, Aiden got his acceptance letter to Hogwarts. I really didn't think he would. But he did. And now, I'm going to have to try to keep him out of trouble....

Speaking of which, I think he's somewhere playing with a dragon.....I should go fetch him before he burns his eyebrows off.

12 July 2010

New WIP, of course.

Goodmorning!

So, why am I up so early? Because I wanted to work out this morning. Guess who didn't! Well, as usual, I got distracted.....by my stash. I've had this Misti Alpaca Pima Cotton & Silk yarn for ages and I was getting frustrated that I didn't have it already on my needle(s). That is, until I turned on my computer, logged onto Ravelry, and found a beautiful Ripple Shawl Pattern. This shawl looked simple enough and the border was gorgeous. I had found my project.

As I began enthusiastically crocheting on this beautiful shawl, I hit 2 snags. 1. I couldn't find the label for the yarn and therefore couldn't catalog it on Ravelry or add it to my projects. That just about irked me as much as the nargles stealing my needles. Problem #2 arose when I realized that the pattern and the pictures were just confusing me. If I go this way, it won't look like the picture! AHHHHHHH! Now, I'm not one to panic....okay, yes I am. If instructions and pictures don't make sense to me, I freak the fuck out! But then, I walk away for a couple of hours. When I return, I'm calm and I can figure it out. Hopefully, that will work this time.

So, I've been listening to the KnitPicks Podcast on iTunes this morning. Inspirational. Also, soothing background noise.

I don't know if this will be the only post for today. So, if you need me, I will be chilling in the Treehouse. Look for the giant pillows. Yes, I have utilized Time Lord technology and made the Treehouse bigger on the inside. It's all good. :)

IT'S SOOOOOOOOOO FLUFFY!

Guess who's up late again!

Okay, seriously, I wasn't being mischieveous, I promise. But I did go to the park and hang out with my friends all day. Then when to see Despicable Me and I just have one thing to say: "IT'S SO FLUFFY, I'M GONNA DIE!" Agnes is the cutest girl I have ever seen.

Then, we went to Chipotle. I love mexican food. But, everyone was complaining about the spiciness of the food, and I just have to say that I don't get it. I tasted everyone's food (yes, I am a mooch. get over it.) and none of it was spicy. However, SOMEONE might have been overreacting about the spiciness of his food because he was so damn high. I mean, this kid could barely keep his eyes open he was so high. And then, he didn't remember who I was until halfway through our meal, even after I offered him half of my burrito. Sure, a lot of my friends engage in illegal activities, but I've never encountered one of them when they are high because they know how I feel about it and I want nothing to do with it. But, Jesus isn't my friend, so he didn't know. But for some reason, I could not stop laughing at how high he was. It's not like he was doing anything in particular. It was just funny.

After all that eventfulness, I came home and watched Everyone's Fine with my parents. That is one sad movie. You don't even understand. So depressing.

So, I think I'm gonna go to sleep now because I have some knitting/crocheting to do in the morning.

Lovefest yep yep

Guess who didn't have a date tonight!!!!

Either way, I didn't let it ruin my day.....okay, it ruined my day a little bit. But, I ended up having a wonderful time with two of the most wonderful people, albeit most horny people, I know. Water balloons and fireworks make for a good night. Particularly when it ends with 3 besties sitting in a heap being all loving and sweet. I must admit, though, I do not enjoy being licked on the face. Or my hand. Nor do I like raspberries in the middle of my back. That will get you DRAMATIC SLAPPED so hard you really will have eyes in the back of your head.

I love Alex and Cydney. Even though Alex sometimes goes away and is replaced with Aiden and Aiden scares the shit out of me. But, for now, I will go to sleep.

WIP it. WIP it good!

Hello lovely people!

So, I just joined the Hogwarts Summer Camp! It is awesome. I'm in the Forbidden Forest Treehouse. It's totally bitchin'!

So, as I started again working on Cyd's blanket, I realized that I should never do colorwork late at night. That is only because I cannot tell Blue from Royal. I now have to frog 3 whole rounds of crochet work because the colors don't match and I'm OCD like that. So, admitting temporary defeat because I didn't have the gas or the money to get yarn today, I started working on my 3 other WIPs. Now, the first one, a blanket fashioned from a Harry Potter House Pouch pattern that I liked isn't going so well. To make the pattern work for the blanket, I have to use double-knitting, which I am learning I am not very fond of. Maybe it is because I am an English Knitter and can't properly hold the yarn in my hand. I'm gonna need some help with that. Either I convert to Continental or someone teach me how to hold the yarn differently than I already do. Second WIP is a scarf worked double-stranded. It's really pretty and worked in 2x2 rib, but it's taking so long to progress. The 3rd is a pair of socks with the Insidious pattern. I am in love with that pattern. I swear I will never use another sock pattern again. It was the first pattern I used with cables. I was so proud when I made my first pair. My friends coined them the "Magical Socks." Every time I've done this pattern, I've inadvertently used self striping yarn. :D

But, I guess I should head off to bed now. I have to go to the bank and post office tomorrow.

Guess who has a date tomorrow!!!

Another Late Night/Early Morning Post

Guess who's got a date on Friday??? :D

Anyway. I am awake at 4 in the morning for no reason at all. I tried to go to sleep at 12 and it didn't work very well. So, being the industrious person I am, I grabbed my needle and continued on Cyd's Auburn Blanket. Now, every time I pick it up, I think to myself, "would I be burned at the stake if I walked on campus with this?" Probably, but hopefully it will be done before I have to head off. Speaking of which, I HAVE A TRUNK. that is all. I am really excited about my trunk. And because I am in an afghan mood (how could I not be?) I think I'm gonna make one to cover it because said trunk is going to double as a coffee table in my dorm room. Idk if my roommate and I will get along. We haven't formally met yet, but she seems nice on facebook. She's sporty. Now, as much as I love soccer and ultimate frisbee, I am not sporty. I'm also not girly or religious. She is. Can you say exact opposites? This shall be interesting.

So, I've just watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and it has occured to me that I need to get working on my Slytherin costume for Deathly Hallows 1 and LeakyCon and Deathly Hallows 2. I am deeply envious of my friend Elliot, whose graduation present was to go to the Wonderful World of Harry Potter. He has his Ravenclaw robes, wand, and broom. I have none. ENVY OUT THE WAZOO!!!!

I really hope this late night/early morning blogging doesn't become a habit. In the mean time, hasta luego, my cohorts. :D

Long Time, No See, Losers!

So, who missed me?

Well, don't everyone speak up at once! I'm kidding. So halfway into summer and I've only gone swimming once. It sucks. HOWEVER, I have been watching Doctor Who, drinking smoothies, and knitting up a storm. OH! and of course, I've had Futbol Fever! Watching the World Cup and playing soccer/ultimate with my friends every Monday.

You may notice that I am writing this at 5 in the morning. Well, I couldn't sleep so I got out of bed, turned on Doctor Who, got out my yarn and proceeded to indulge and get some work done. Lately, I've been working on a blanket for my best friend Cydney. She's going of to college soon (as am I) and I decided to make her something for her dorm room. While I am headed off to University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), she is headed to our rival school, Auburn U. So, inspite of my strong distaste for the orange and blue color combo (really guys, what were you thinking with that one), I have been slaving away crocheting this blanket. Now, I'm relatively new to crochet, even though my aunt swears by it. So, it figures that my second project is a granny square blanket (my first was a single crochet beanie). So far, it is coming along well. I've made 35% of this thing and the bigger it gets, the longer it takes to finish.
As you can see, it's already quite large. And I've added 3 stripes to that. I'm onto my 2nd skein of each color. I don't know if I'll need more. I hope not. But, it seems to be going fast, so I just might. You can find the pattern here. It's really simple and I absolutely love it. I don't know if i'll make my own in Bama Crimson and White, but it's a good pattern to have on file.

Well, it is officially light outside. I'm going to end this here and see if I can get some sleep before I have to be up in 3 hours.

Roses are red, Violets are blue......and you'll need them to woo your girl! ROMANCE 101

Hello! I know I said I was back permanently a while ago, but exams and such got in the way. But, since I am a graduating senior and no longer have anymore exams, I am free to blog as I see fit.

Now, nothing much has been up with me lately, except my 2 best friends finally started dating and i couldn't be happier for them. Except when they take advantage of me driving everywhere.....

Well, on the topic of romance (not involving me, we already know that story), I've been commissioned to write a romance manual for a romantically inept friend of mine. He has no clue how to romance a girl. He thinks the way to a woman's heart is through her vagina. Sorry to break it to you, it's not. So, I am going to write a how-to-guide and hope it helps. Otherwise, I don't know what to do to help him.

Romancing a Girl Rule #1: Flowers are not completely necessary, but nice.

Not all girls like roses. I know I don't. I'd rather have daisies. But that is just me. It is preferable that you know the girl's favorite flower and give her a single one or a bouquet, depending on the occasion. If you are just starting to date, a bouquet is nice. It means you really want to woo her. But if you have been dating a while, a single flower is nice for just everyday kinda thing. But to really woo her, surprise her randomly with a bouquet. She'll be like "What's the occasion?" and there isn't one. You just want her to feel special. Remember, that is the goal: MAKE HER FEEL SPECIAL.

Just as a side note, these rules aren't in any order, just as the come to my head.

Well, tune in tomorrow for Rule #2.

Mmkay, time for BEDA! Who's excited? I know I am. So, nothing really to blog about today. I'm writing a new novel. I'm going to be posting it on worthofpublishing.com under the penname Alexandria Bennett.....might change that at some point. But anyway. First chapter is done. I'm still trying to figure out how to transition from the 1st chapter to the other 4 i've written that are way far away from the 1st.......let's do this!!!!! Mmkay, back to my lousy writing that I will not get paid for because I think my writing is shit and it will stay that way for as long as I live, but I will not stop.

Good Morning Blog Readers!

I have been up since 8 doing nothing because I lied about going to an AP Review Session.....at least I am out of the house. Since I left, I have listened to screamo in my car, talking to one of the besties, and watched adorable pomeranian puppies on YouTube.

That wasn't important, really, was it? In IMPORTANT news, I have started writing again. YAY! I'm about 3,000 words into my next novel. I really hope i finish it. What I have so far looks pretty good, but of course I will have to send it to my editor (CYDNEY, THAT WOULD BE YOU). I told bestie Alex about it and he was like "You like writing about depressing things." No, I just like writing about troubled people. It's that damsel-in-distress-where-the-hell-is-my-night-in-shining-armor mentality.

Recently, I've been following Maureen Johnson on Twitter (yes I have a twitter, @JodiAlexandria). I really like her writing style and the way she carries herself as a writer. I think I might go to Barnes and Noble and pick up a ton of books to inspire me. I'll keep you posted about the novel and other business about my life.

PEACE

Today Was All Full of FAIL

Rule #1: NEVER become friends with your bestfriend's significant other. It just leads to awkward situations.

Rule #2: When you've come to the conclusion that all of your friends are gorgeous, assume that they want to date each other, therefore, leading to more awkward situations, find some really ugly friends.

Rule #3: If you don't follow Rules 1 and 2 and awkward situations insue, run/skate/drive as quickly as possible in the other direction.

Now, if you are like me, it took you til Rule #3 to realize you need new unattractive friends.

I like strange television. Get over it!

AHHHHHHHHH! real monsters!

Anywho.....how are you guys doing this fine evening (actually, it's morning. evening just sounded better)? Last night, I watched the season finale of the 4th series of SKINS (really awesome british tv show). And all I have to say is: I WANTED TO SEE COOK BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF JOHN FOSTER! CRAPPY ENDING, MY FRIENDS, CRAPPY ENDING! AND YOU SUCK FOR KILLING OFF FREDS!

Okay, now that's out of my system......started watching a new show. Guess what it is! Guess what it is! My Life As Liz, of course. Yeah, I am aware that a lot of people think it is stupid. But, I love it. My best mate, Cyd, said I should watch it because everytime she watches it, she screams "JORDAN!!!!" at the screen, because, apparently, Liz and I are exactly the same. Don't you just love my use of run-on sentences in this thing!?! Yeah, that's how I scored a 1960 on the SAT, bitches!

Got my hair did yesterday. It looks pretty rad.....I also got set up on a blind date by my cousin and her friend. I don't know if I should be happy or apprehensive. I mean, sure, there are guys that I know that I like, but a blind date seems weird. He's an older man, goes to Jacksonville State University, plays WoW, and loves sushi......and his middle name is Alexander (coincidence? I hope so.)

I also did laundry yesterday.....I never really knew how many clothes I had until now. However, most of it consists of blues and blacks, so yay for 2 loads of the same ole shit. I also bought a hoodie because it was warm and plain black. It's pretty rad.

Well, there's not much to say now that I've said all I have to say for today....so................

PEACE

Bipolar much?

Hey guys and dolls!

As you may have noticed, I've been on blog hiatus for a good bit....I can't even remember the last time I wrote an entry on here. So, I guess I'll start out with what I've been up to.
Well, I've nearly killed myself with school. I don't give a shit anymore about it. I don't see a point in anything they are trying to teach me. It just doesn't matter anymore. Sure, people say it's just senioritis, but nothing going on in that school that I am being forced by my mother to attend matters to me. I mean, when I look at how I want my life to go, I can't see any of what they are teaching me being applied anywhere in my life.
Second, I've been reevaluating my life, friends, stuff like that, and I've come to the conclusion that as much as I love my friends and I want them to be my friends forever (does that happen? because I really want it to), I feel that sometimes I can't let go of the security blanket. I mean, I love my friends too dearly, sometimes, I don't even think they realize it. I would do absolutely anything for them. But, I feel that my selflessness towards them puts me at a disadvantage.
Third, I've also come to the conclusion that no matter how confident I act (yes, people, it is all a ruse), I will always be my self conscious, overanalyzing self. Yes, I will always think someone is lying to me when they say I'm pretty. Why the hell would I believe someone else when I don't believe it when I look at myself in the mirror? Yes, I will always think people are judging me. I'm not selfcentered, I'm just always judging myself.
Fourth, as many times as I have said that I have given up on relationships, every time I say that, it is a LIE. I will continue to try no matter how many people reject me. It's not like the world ends when someone rejects me, that happens every day. But, I've learned to accept it.
ENOUGH WITH THE DEPRESSING SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've started a collab channel on YouTube with my friends Cydney and Alec. We are the Audio Addicts. We rant about music and all that goodness. We kinda have a competition going: who knows more unknown music (yes, i know that's an oxymoron). So far, according to our last tally, Alec is winning. but then again, we haven't done a tally in 4 or 5 videos......so, who knows. Also, I just had an awesome week. I got a new best friend (Alex) and I got one of my old best friends back (Sam). Pretty damn stoked about that. So yeah.......I can't think of anything else to write. Sorry for the depressing spillage of my insight earlier. Won't happen again (that's a bold faced lie)

Another One Bites the Dust

Ah! Long time no see, guys and dolls!

I'm sure you're just dying to know what I've been up to. Well in all honesty, if you've read any of my previous posts, you know what I've been up to. So, onward with the depressing sappiness....

Well, as pointed out to me yesterday, I am an overly obvious crush AND when I crush on people I become stalkerish. Yay me! :/ And as I've previously written millions of times, yet again, my love life fails me. Yay!!! I've come to the oh too obvious conclusion that I am not romantic relationship material. Which, now that I've figured that out, I'm going to stop trying. It's the only logical action to be taken in these events. I mean, if for the 18 years I have been alive I can't get a guy to like me, what's the point, right? I completely understand that I am not the most attractive person in the world. I understand that I am completely socially inept (I have a vlog, blog, and am in a ONLINE knitting community). It just makes sense that I am unfit for this moronic social ritual our society has come to know as DATING (or courting/courtship, if you want to get old school). But, in lighter news, I just got another pair of sunglasses. They are black and lime green. Go me!!! Valentine's Day is shit.

PEACE,

Danni

The Worst Holiday Ever Invented Is Almost Here!

Yes, I am talking about Valentine's Day. I have hated Valentine's Day since the 5th grade. Why the 5th grade? In the 5th grade, Buddy Bruhn took the Valentine I gave him, showed it to his friends and laughed in my face. And every year since, I haven't had a "Valentine." Sure, in grade school your mum makes you give Valentines to your schoolmates. But, there's always that special Valentine you give to your crush or your boyfriend. Screw that shit! Valentine's Day is stupid. And yes, you can say that I'm just being bitchy about it because I am single.

Speaking of me being single, let's think back to the times I wasn't single. Well, that time doesn't exist. Sure, I've gone on a few dates (a few being 3). But, I have always been single. Why? I don't know why!!!! I wish I knew why!

Let's see.....let's rate the successfulness of the "dates" I've been on....

Date #1:

Guy: Shane
When: Freshman year of high school
Where: A musical at my school
Hand holding: yes
Hugs: yes
Kiss: yes
Good conversation: yes
2nd Date: No

Date #2:

Guy: Adam
When: Senior year of high school
Where: Chinese, Target, his house
Hand holding: no
Hugs: No
Kiss: No
2nd Date: Yes

Date #3:
Guy: Adam
When: Senior year of high school
Where: his house
Hand holding: sort of?
Hugs: 1
Kiss: No
3rd Date: No

Were those dates successful? Date #2 was obviously more successful than Dates #1 and #3. HOWEVER, I still ended up fucking miserable. The guy from Date #1 was only trying to get to my best friend. I don't know about the guy from Dates #2 and #3. We don't even talk anymore so I'm going to say he's just a jerk? And the sad thing is, I don't even know what went wrong.

Okay, I'm going to stop being bitter because it's just making my day worse than it already is. I'm going to go watch a movie and keep being the hopeless romantic that everyone seems to hate.

PEACE

I'm going to Pigfarts! It's on Mars!

Hola muchachos!!!!

School started back last week on tuesday. Then we were out of school on thursday because of "snow." IT DIDN'T SNOW! It flurried. They were big ass flurries, but nothing stuck to the ground. It was quite upsetting. But, not as upsetting as my mother telling me I can't go to PULSE dance convention this weekend......I almost cried. But, at least I have a solo in this year's dance recital. BOO YAH, bitches! Anywho......I just started a collab channel with my best friend Cydney. THEAUDIOADDICTS!!!! Yeah, we're gonna be talking about music and stuff....mostly music. The stuff's gonna be left on our own channels....like the video of me blowing up a balloon and letting all the air out....Yes, I am aware that I have issues. I think I want to learn Romanian again. It was fun. Even though I can't remember any of it.

Okay. So, I really need to get to studying and doing my homework because I really want to go to LA in July to go to VidCon. So, I need to kick some ass this semester. I REALLY WANT TO GO!!!!!! Okay, going to study now.

PEACE

Oh yeah, since Tuesday is my day to put up videos, I will also be posting the songs that I talk about on here! Look Out!!!

Happy New Year Guys and Dolls!

Well, it's the beginning of a new year which means that I am going to start doing what I said I was going to do. If you look at my header, it says "Knitting + Stories + Boys + Music + Random Shit." Well, so far, I've only posted Boys + Music + Random Shit.......where's the Knitting and the Stories?

Here's what's going to go down. Every time I make up a new pattern or knit something I am really proud of, I will post it here. Starting..........NOW!

I just finished a pair of armwarmers based on a pattern I made during Thanksgiving called Seafoam. However, the stripe pattern is different on this pair. On the first pair, I went for a blue stripe pattern. Well, this new pair is a gift for Sera and they are Hufflepuff armwarmers, in black and yellow.

Here's Seafoam in the original stripe pattern:
